The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) says it has recalled some batches of Ceres Apple Juice from the market.
According to the Authority, information received from the International Food Safety Network (INFOSAN) and producers of the Juice Pioneer Foods Groceries, indicates that the batch of drinks contains mycotoxin-patulin higher than the regulatory threshold.
The Food and Drugs Authority said it has succeeded in retrieving a number of the product but added that it’s working at ensuring that all the products under the said batch is retrieved from the system.
The Authority called on all well-meaning Ghanaians in possession of the product to bring it back.
